Edward Mutafungwa: Home Page

Biography

Edward Mutafungwa received the BEng Electronic Systems Engineering (Telecommunications) and the MSc in Telecommunication & Information Systems both from the University of Essex in 1996 and 1997 respectively. After graduation he joined the Communications Laboratory of the Helsinki University of Technology as a researcher in 1997. His resarch interests include optical networking solutions, network planning methodologies, novel soft computing methods and intelligent transportation systems. He is a Member of the Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE), Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), Finnish Association of Graduate Engineers (TEK) and Institute for Electronics, Information and Communications Engineering (IEICE). He has authored and co-authored several technical papers.

Edward is a Christian, capricorn and an avid sports fan (especially football, basketball & athletics). His leisure interests include reading magazines, music and the cinema.
