Cycling

I was racing cyclist between years 1975 and 1982, mainly on road. My best results were in team time trials, where our team (Hämeenlinnan Tarmo) was second in the 1977 Finnish championships in juniors class M18. Over the distance of 50 km our time was 1.06.35. The other team members were Heikki Haavisto and Kari Myllymäki. We lost only nine seconds to the winning team Akilles from Porvoo. In men's class our best position was fift in 1981.
