Suported Hardware

As far as we know, NBF now supports all imaginable packet hardware. Some devices are supported directly (Hostmode TNC's, WinSock), and the others through third party driver software (FlexNet, AGW Packet Engine).

To make it easier to get NBF up and running without too much trouble, we created a list of the most popular hardware, and the necessary software to interface it to NBF. However, remember that nothing works better than a fast TNC directly in hostmode.

My personal opinion on FlexNet and AGW is that FlexNet seems more robust, and works faster (at 9k6 & up, never tried with 1k2). AGW on the other hand handles some hardware that FlexNet doesn't.

If you have any additions or corrections to the list below, please send them to us. If you have trouble setting up a particular device and its driver, it's very unlikely that we can help you. It's the homemade TNC2 that everyone's using around here.
