These two lists are only a little glimpse of my values and my way of thinking.
If you don't agree, then that's your problem and not mine. And let's keep
it that way.
|
Amigas
|
The favourite computers of mine. I can babble, even if you
don't want to hear, about the advantages of these fine computers, but this
ain't the place. |
A good intellectual conversation
|
Anywhere, any time, but if I can choose the place and the time,
I would rather be in a good Italian restaurant eating delicious
chicken dish and after that some chocolate cake. And having a good
conversation all the time. |
Java
|
A pure object oriented programming language with the
syntax of C/C++. Yum yum! |
Pepsi Max
|
I like it, but not because Spice Girls are used in
advertising. |
A good book
|
Nothing compares to a good book
when you want to have some time of your own in some different time and
place. |
Travelling
|
After a book, travelling is the second best way to relax.
Check out where I have been. |
Modern Art
|
I prefer art which doesn't depict anything, but gives
you something to think about or moves you emotionally. |
Gadgets
|
You know all those nifty little machines which try to
improve your life? Palms, mobile phones, smart cards etc. I just
love them. They are fun to fiddle with and sometimes they are even
useful.
|
Mexican food
|
Burritos, fajitas and nachos. Guacamole, salsa and jalapenos.
Nam!
|
Thai food
|
Even better than Mexican. |
|
Smoking
|
People destroy health of others and their own and pay
for that. Talk about stupidity! Unfortunately the society has to pay
more by trying to cure tobacconists' lung cancers and other diseases caused by
smoking than the society gets with the smoking taxes. |
Tourism
|
A lot of people pack to the same area, looking for
the same sights, touring the city with full-packed busses and eating
steaks in Spanish restaurant. Then they send ugly postcards to their
relatives and buy cheap booze from the airport. And they do this every
single year, usually with the same destination. |
Company policies
|
When companies start to think on the behalf of the people,
we are not far from the future depicted in cyberpunk. Scary. |
Microsoft
|
As I like Amiga, I have no other choice than to loathe
Microsoft. And man, they do give some good reasons, too. I'm waiting
with a groving fear the world where all the little gadgets and widgets
are controlled with MS products. Your oven starts to heat up without
any good reason, your toaster is showing blue screen and your car
won't start before you install another service pack.
|
Pets
|
Especially in towns. You keep e.g. your dog in a little
apartment without any decent yard, walk with it in the crowd of town
and collect all the droppings to a little bag. And probably that poor
dog is hit by a car or it goes insane inside the apartment. Really
rewarding life and only because of selfishness of humans.
