I have a nifty black tattoo in my upper back, between shoulderblades. The tattoo is all black, as you have might guessed from the appearance of these pages... I wanted to be a little bit artistic when I was putting the image on these pages, so I gave it the metallic look, too. So, here goes.
The real size of the image is 17.5 x 7.9 cm (or 6.9" x 3.1" for all you inch-based people). The tattoo is self-designed and so it's also unique. I have derived the shape of the tattoo from a tattoo of my friend. Her tattoo doesn't have those little spikes, but I wanted mine to have a little gothic feel. I do hope that nobody copies my tattoo from the image above. It took one and half an hour to transfer the image from a paper print to my back. The process was rather painful, so this image would probably be my only one. And, if you take another, you lose the uniqueness of the first one. After the second, it's very easy to take the third and then the fourth and so on, ad nauseaum. Before you realise, you'll be full of different tattoos without any specific meaning and you'll look like a sailor or a prisoner or something. No thank you! After the image was completed, I had to take extra care of the are about two months. First two weeks I kept the tattoo under plastic wrap, so that it wouldn't dry up. All the time some fiddling with grease / oil / cream / what ever to keep it moist. I must confess that if I had known all the troubles ahead me before taking the tattoo, I would probably thought twice or even thrice. But I would still take tattoo, in some day and onto some place. | |||||||
